Application 'On the consent for the receipt of a treatment service within the framework of health tourism':
Medical Treatment Institutions wishing to offer medical treatment services to foreign patients (Medical tourism) need to complete an application:
The application has been filled with medical treatment institutions that wish to offer medical treatment services to foreign patients (so-called. medical tourism).
The application shall specify:
- the medical services offered, indicating the location (address/es) where the services offered will be available,
- in the box, the departments of the medical treatment institution in which the service will be provided shall indicate the offices or departments registered in the Register of Medical Institutions.
All departments mentioned in the application must be registered in the register and must be notified of compliance with the minimum requirements.
The application must be sent to the e-mail address vi@vi.gov.lv
The list of providers of medical tourism services shall include medical treatment institutions which have been registered in the register of medical treatment institutions for at least 3 years.
If a health inspection has been performed in a medical treatment institution during the last 3 years, a decision regarding the inclusion of an institution in the list of medical institutions providing medical tourism services will be taken within a week.
On the other hand, if the health inspection inspection has not been performed in the medical treatment institution in the last 3 years, it will be performed after the receipt of the submission, and the decision regarding the inclusion of the medical treatment institution in the list will be taken within 2 months.
