The Health Inspectorate shall issue a Free Trade Certificate (BTS) to manufacturers of cosmetic products in Latvia, which certifies that the merchant has notified the placing of cosmetic products manufactured in Latvia on the Latvian market. BTS shall be issued to producers who need it for export of cosmetic products to countries outside the European Union.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    For the receipt of a free trade certificate, the manufacturer of cosmetic products shall submit a submission to the Health Inspectorate in accordance with the form approved in Annex 4 of Regulation No 354 of Cabinet No. 02.07.2013, Procedures for the Provision of Essential Requirements for Cosmetic Products.

    The application may also be submitted using the e-service “Application for Health Inspectorate”, attaching the required form

    The service is received in accordance with the application of choice.
